Self-declared environmental claims

Products with recycled content contain 30% or more post-consumer and/or pre-consumer recycled content by weight.
Products made with quality components from previously used products and products that replace one-time use disposable items. They contain 30% or more material recovered from previously used products (by weight).

Third party environmental labels/claims
Products originating from certified well managed forests.
FSC certification promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world's forests through third party verification of the supply chain.
Products originating from certified well managed forests.
PEFC scheme is promoting Sustainable Forest Management through third party verification of the supply chain to ensure that timber and non-timber forest products are produced with respect for ecological, social and ethical standards.
Products that meet Fairtrade social, environmental and economic criteria and support the sustainable development of small-scale producers and agricultural workers in the poorest countries in the world.
Products coming from a farm or forest operation that meets comprehensive standards that protect the environment and promote the rights and well-being of workers, their families and communities.
Blue Angel products place less burden on the environment, fulfil high standards with respect to the protection of human health and promote ecological product innovations.
Products that meet sets of strict environmental requirements in all relevant phases of a product's life cycle.
Strict requirements for chemicals used in eco-labelled products and continuous tightening of the requirements to create a sustainable development is the foundation of the Nordic Swan eco label.
Products and services that meet high environmental standards throughout their life-cycle: from raw material extraction, to production, distribution and disposal.
The EU Ecolabel promotes the circular economy by encouraging producers to generate less waste and CO2 during the manufacturing process as well as encourage companies to develop products that are durable, easy to repair and recycle.
Products that comply with ecological and fitness for purpose criteria.
This label is intended to distinguish goods and their packaging with low environmental impact throughout their life cycle.
Awarded to products and services which are evaluated against the scheme environmental compatibility criteria.
These include effects of the use of a product or a service as well as production process, disposal and quality and fitness for use (“lifecycle”).
Cradle to Cradle Certified® is the global standard for products that are safe, circular and responsibly made.
The standard assesses the safety, circularity and responsibility of materials and products across five categories of sustainability performance: material health, product circularity, clean air & climate protection, water & soil stewardship and social fairness.
The Leaping Bunny is the regarded as the global gold standard for cruelty free cosmetics, personal care and household products.
Products that are Leaping Bunny Certified have not been tested on animals.
(Multiple national level schemes available to certify organic products. EU Green Leaf Logo is optional. GB Organic Certification schemes use EU organic regulation as their baseline)
Certified organic products conform to the regulations established by the European Union for organic farming, on how they must be produced, processed, transported and stored. The logo can only be used on products when they contain at least 95% of organic ingredients and additionally respect further strict conditions for the remaining 5%. The same ingredient cannot be present in organic and non-organic form.
Certified Carbon Neutral
A carbon neutral product is one where the sum of the unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions (CO2e) created during its production and distribution is offset via a recognized, certified carbon offset project.

Certified Compostable
Compostable products are capable of disintegrating into non-toxic natural elements in a compost environment, leaving no toxicity in the soil.
*Please note that there are various recognised third party schemes available to certify product as Biodegradable. We currently include products that have been tested to EN 13432 Standard in our verification process.
Certified Biodegradable
Biodegradable products are capable of decomposing naturally by bacteria or other living organisms, such as fungi or bacteria. These help to break them down into compounds that are found in nature.
